On December 2, 2022, Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi) dropped a thread regarding Twitter’s collusion with the Democrats and the FBI.
This collusion entailed suppressing the truth about the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop prior to the 2020 election.
My summarization is as follows.
Twitter’s mission statement intended to give people “the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers”.
A historic issuance and one that has succeeded.
As the platform grew, things like fraud and spam became significant issues so Twitter began to erect the very barriers they claimed the platform was free of.
As both the platform and egos of the employees tasked with policing these issues grew, novel ways to use these barriers were devised.
Just as lobbyists do in Washington, outside influencers began requesting (ultimately demanding) that speech be policed as well.
I imagine this began with groups such as the ACLU demanding anything they deemed to be racist or as hate speech be banned from the platform.
Then, as I can attest to personally when I was banned for calling Bette Midler a “hag of a has-been”, suddenly those accounts criticizing celebrities or public figures would vanish to the nether of permanent suspension for violating Twitter’s Terms of Service (that no one ever read).
Meanwhile, it is important to note, accounts blatantly displaying a disposition toward pedophilia and child trafficking were left mysteriously alone despite mass reporting by both the Right and Left alike.
By the time the Presidential election of 2020 rolled around, it seemed that requests to review, censor, and ban accounts had become Twitter’s main purpose for existing.
The status of the reported (ie. a famous or large account, even verified) did not buy Conservative accounts any amnesty. Those were tweets (read: valid opinion) by high-profile accounts and seemingly signed-off on by Safety.
While both the Left and the Right had these tools readily available, the number of acted-upon accounts was grossly disproportionate.
In other words, Twitter was run by Democrat supporters.
Not obligated to be objective by oath - as a judge, for example - meant that any Trump supporter or dissenter of Leftist policies could have an account they’d been building for years destroyed. Twitter employees were acting from personal bias, on the complaints of their friends and the interest of their ideologies.
The Laptop
The Left likes to repeat the story the FBI allegedly told Twitter: that the laptop had been stolen and hacked, making the contents inadmissible, unverifiable and irrelevant.
We now know, however, that this version of events is simply not true and was yet another collusion between our Federal agencies and Big Tech to justify withholding critical information from We the People before a Presidential election.
The customer who brought in the water-damaged MacBook Pro for repair never paid for the service or retrieved it or a hard drive on which its contents were stored, according to the shop owner, who said he tried repeatedly to contact the client.
The shop owner couldn’t positively identify the customer as Hunter Biden but said the laptop bore a sticker from the Beau Biden Foundation, named after Hunter’s late brother and former Delaware attorney general.
On October 14, 2020 (Crash’s birthday!) The New York Post published a story about the Hunter Biden Laptop.
Smoking-gun email reveals how Hunter Biden introduced Ukrainian businessman to VP dad
By Emma-Jo Morris and Gabrielle Fonrouge
In this article, images of a Grand Jury subpoena from December 2019 show that the FBI seized the laptop and hard drive and knew it was valid.
But before turning over the gear to the FBI, who he alerted of its existence in good faith, the shop owner says he made a copy of the hard drive and later gave it to former Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer, Robert Costello.
Why The Laptop Matters
I have read the entire Hunter Biden laptop report from MarcoPoloUSA.org.
You can read it here and I advise everyone to do so.
I also wrote a substack when the report was released.
Not only did the corrupt Dems/RINOs sham-impeach President Trump for wanting the truth about the Biden quid-pro-quo in Ukraine but they wanted the laptop buried because it proves the quid-pro-quo in Ukraine - and so much more.
They enlisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation as their errand boys and the big tech funders in seeing this done.
In an eMail from May of 2014, not long after Hunter signed on to the board of Burisma, Pozharskyi tried to get Hunter to leverage his US political influence via his father for the benefit of the company.
You can read that letter here.
Less than eight months after Pozharskyi thanked Hunter Biden for the introduction to his dad, the then-vice president admittedly pressured Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk into getting rid of Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin by threatening to withhold a $1 billion US loan guarantee during a December 2015 trip to Kiev.
“I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money,” Biden infamously bragged to the Council on Foreign Relations in 2018.
“Well, son of a bitch. He got fired.”
- Joe Biden, VP of the United States
In March of 2016, the fired prosecutor Shokin stated that he had made specific plans to conduct an investigation of Burisma and Hunter Biden.
Anyone with half a brain cell can see how damaging the dozens of communications on Hunter’s laptop is to Joe Biden’s political career.
Selling political influence is a crime.
Doing so to the detriment of the Nation you’re supposed to represent is treason.
This is where big tech comes in…
The Conspiracy (no theory)
At the *strong* recommendation of the FBI and sitting Democrats, Twitter began to suppress the story of the laptop.
They deleted posted links to stories about the laptop.
They put those cute little misinformation labels on tweets that discussed the laptop.
They posted warnings that it may be unsafe to follow links to the stories of major media like The Post.
They went so far as to block links to the laptop and stories about it across the web in our direct messages.
If I were a Leftist, I’d feel violated.
Much to our utter grief, they locked Kayleigh McEnany’s account for tweeting about it.
Mike Hahn, who worked for the Trump campaign wrote this to Twitter:
This prompted Twitter’s own employees to question what was going on.
Her query was met with this response:
You can read this policy as written by Twitter in 2019 here.
Employees were wary as they suspected that this policy was bullshit.
What they didn’t know was that Vijaya Gadde enacted the policy without consulting Jack Dorsey, then-CEO.
Employees were quoted as saying, “Hacking was the excuse, but within a few hours, pretty much everyone realized that wasn’t going to hold. But no one had the guts to reverse it”.
Here, they’re trying to come up with a way to legitimize the suppression:
I just love the use of truthfully here:
Even representatives were starting to feel the heat of 1st Amendment suppression repercussions.
Though Twitter tried to press the “hacked materials” policy, Ro replied that concern was more for Rights violations - especially during a Presidential campaign:
The following day, NetChoice’s Chris Marchese told Twitter the hearings that awaited them would be a “bloodbath” and included the findings:
And:
Treasonous, Communist Democrats
Please pay careful attention to this next image. This is how it occurs. The Democrats wrote/spoke in response with the desired SPIN.
They intimate THEIR truth - and it gets repeated as such until the brain-dead Leftists/trolls believe it is THE truth:
“the First Amendment isn’t absolute.”
Wow.
Both Elon Musk and Matt have stated there is much more to be revealed and there will be a Twitterfiles Part II. That was supposed to be released already but my suspicion is they’re running into legal barricades and attempts to stop making the truth public on the now Elon-owned platform.
I hope that if they persist, Elon tells them what he told Apple when it threatened to remove Twitter from the app store. He said, “I’ll sell my Twitter shares to Trump for a penny.”
Tune in to the show tomorrow at 3pm EST where we’ll discuss this and so much more.
